Rich introduces himself below:

“I was so pleased to be appointed as the new Deputy Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer for Holme Valley Parish Council.

I have lived in Hinchliffe Mill for eleven years and feel the Holme Valley is my home for life. I love walking the byways and lanes of the Valley and taking in all the beautiful scenery and history that we live amongst.

I am originally from Northampton but have lived most of my adult life in Yorkshire, - first Sheffield, then Leeds. Most of my working life, I have managed adult social care services for people with challenging behaviour but, as I got older, needed a change. I was so delighted when this job came along.

I am really looking forward to working with Liz, the Clerk, and the Councillors to do my small bit to make the Holme Valley an even more fantastic place to live and am looking forward to meeting and working with the people of the Valley as I go about my job.”
