Holme Valley Neighbourhood Development Plan: a final chance to have your say

Published: 01 February 2021

The Holme Valley Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) gives our community the ability to formally influence planning decisions in the Holme Valley. If adopted it will result in more money being available for local community projects. Following its final review by Kirklees and the Peak District National Park, it is entering its last consultation stage (Regulation 16). We encourage residents to take this opportunity to comment on the plan before it is sent to the Independent Examiner for consideration prior to a local referendum on its adoption next year. The NDP has been developed over several years led by a Steering Group of parish councillors and community group representatives who have undertaken extensive research, community consultation and sought specialist expertise. Full details of the process are available on our website: http://www.holmevalleyparishcouncil.gov.uk/Neighbourhood_Plan_22997.aspx

and the Kirklees Regulation 16 consultation is open until 2nd February 2021 here: http://consult.kirklees.gov.uk/portal/pp/neighbourhoodplans/hvnp/holme_valley_ndp
