H8 and H9 Bus Routes - ‘use it or lose it’

At a recent meeting of Kirklees Cabinet the situation of the bus services available to Hepworth, and other villages along Sheffield Road in the Holme Valley, was discussed. The lack of frequent services between Holmfirth bus station and the Holme Valley Memorial Hospital site has also been a cause for concern. Funding has been agreed for bus services between Holmfirth bus station and the Sheffield Road villages and also linking the bus station with the Memorial Hospital.

This ‘use it or lose it’ service will start in late July for six months. A circular service has beed devised operating hourly in each direction forming a half hourly service in either direction. Stotts the existing minibus operator will provide the service on temporary basis.

The current services are listed below. Details of the new services will be posted on this page when the information is available, which is expected to be approximately two weeks before the new timetable starts.
