Community Assets Support Committee (CASC)

This Committee, originally set up in late 2015, was delegated to oversee the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) application and associated supporting documents to take over ownership of Holmfirth Civic Hall and any other assets in the Valley which are at risk of loss to the community. The Asset Transfer was completed on 31 March 2017.

The Parish Council has now moved to the Civic Hall, and is one of the anchor tenants.

CASC has now been merged with the Holmfirth Public Conveniences Committee with delegated authority to oversee supporting any community asset at risk in the Valley and for the day to day management of the Public Conveniences on Towngate, Holmfirth. Currently, the Committee is working with Friends of Honley Library to secure the future of that valuable Community Asset. 

To support community assets in the Valley, CASC has its own Budget which includes funding to award as grants. Grant application forms and guidelines are available to download below:

Meetings are held on Monday evenings at Holmfirth Civic Hall and normally start at 19.00 unless otherwise specified below.
