The Book of Condolence will be available 10am-2pm at The Civic, Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth HD9 3AS throughout the National Period of Mourning.

On Saturday, Cllr Jason Brook, Chairman of Holme Valley Parish Council, and Cllr Mary Blacka, Vice Chair, each signed the Parish Council Book of Condolence.

A floral tribute for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was then laid beneath the Union flag outside The Civic by Cllr Brook and Cllr Blacka on behalf of Holme Valley Parish Council and the people of the Holme Valley. The flag was flying at full mast as the photos were taken at about 10am on Saturday 10 September, just before the Proclamation Ceremony in London was due to take place.

Cllr Blacka represented Holme Valley Parish Council at the Kirklees reading of the Proclamation of Accession of King Charles III at 2pm on Sunday 11 September at Huddersfield Town Hall.
