This Committee has delegated authority to oversee and approve the creation, printing and distribution of the Council’s publications, with editorial responsibility for their content, and to monitor and approve the content and operation of the Council’s website. It is also responsible for the organisation and co-ordination of any events supported by the Council, e.g. the creation of a permanent memorial outside Honley Library to mark the centenary of women's suffrage in 2018. The Committee administers the annual Tidy Trader & Community Champion awards. The Tidy Trader awards recognise businesses that take pride in their external appearances and, as a result, contribute to a more attractive and thriving Holme Valley. The Community Champions awards seek to celebrate and thank individuals or groups who help make our Valley a better place to live.
The Committee also oversees the new Parish Council News monthly column in the Holme Valley Review. Recent columns from the Holme Valley Review can be read on our Newsletters page. If you want to read whole editions of the Holme Valley Review go to their website. The Committee also runs the Holme Valley Parish Council's Facebook page.
The Council adopted a Media Policy, Editorial Guidelines and a Community Engagement Strategy on 20 May 2013. It adopted an Email Communications Policy on 12 September 2016.
