The Staffing Committee oversees our employees and deals with any employment matters including training, performance and appointments once posts are approved by Full Council. It meets at least three times a year and as required.
We currently have three members of staff:
- Jen McIntosh - Clerk (the Proper Officer of the Parish Council)
- Rich McGill - Deputy Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer
- Michelle Brown - Climate Emergency Coordinator (appointed on an annual basis)
Our maintenance works (provision of benches, bus shelters, war memorials, red phone boxes, Holmfirth public toilets) are currently undertaken by our contractor, John Ford, whose work is overseen by our Clerk.
The Council approved and adopted its Local Government Pension Scheme – Employers Discretion Statement on 7 July 2014.
