New Clerk

Liz introduces herself below:
“I am delighted to be the new Clerk for Holme Valley Parish
Council and am looking forward to being involved with getting the best for
Valley residents.
I have lived in Holmfirth for nine years now. I have had
plenty of time to enjoy all the benefits of this beautiful place and I am
pleased to be able to now contribute in a new way to the place that has become
home. I lived in Alderney in the Channel
Islands for twelve years before arriving here. In Alderney I had several roles
but mainly I was involved in community development and spent 4 years as a local
Councillor there. For twenty years prior to that I was a social worker in
Southampton.
The role of Clerk for me is already looking complex and
challenging but I am relishing the opportunity to gain the recognised
qualification and put my previous experience to use.”
