Holme Valley Parish Council is the first tier of local government covering the administrative area of the Holme Valley.

 

Latest Grants Awarded  

The Parish  Council conferred grants on the following vital community groups: 

      • Cartworth Moor Cricket Club - grant towards the purchase of new shutters, internal doors and windows in the pavilion (March 2021)
      • Hade Edge Band Room - grant towards purchase of a new piano (March 2021)
      • Honley Village Hall - grant towards roof repairs (March 2021)
      • The Friends of Netherthong School - grant towards a running track for community use in the school grounds (March 2021) 
      • Upperthong Village Hall - grant towards the provision of a new damp-proof course and roof repairs (March 2021)
      • River Holme Connections - grant towards the further refurbishment of the riverside path between Digley and Armitage Bridge (March 2021)
      • Holme Valley Climate Action Partnership - grants towards an energy audit of the Parish Council's buildings (January 2021)
      • Holme Valley Climate Action Partnership - grant towards land-use mapping of the Valley (January 2021)
      • Hepworth Band Room - towards development of the band room (January 2021)
      • Random Acts of Kindness - grant towards publicity and administration of this project (November 2020)
      • Holmfirth Arts Festival - grant towards the Art in the Woods project (November 2020)
      • Holmfirth Country Markets - grant towards protective screens  (November 2020)
      • Friends of Honley Library - grant towards the Children's Book Festival (October 2020)
      • Honley Cricket Club - grant towards a sight screen (October 2020)
      • Honley Business Association - grant towards the youth club
      • Honley Business Association - grant towards the Christmas Lights
      • Holme Valley Transport Scheme - grant towards Patient Transport service
      • Holmfirth and District Bowling Club - grant towards building a disabled toilet

Holme Valley Parish Council is the sole corporate Trustee of the Holme Valley Land Charity, so the councillors are all part of the Land Charity, as Members of the Trustee.
