Death of a former Chair of Holmfirth Urban District Council

The Parish Council is sad to announce the passing of Mrs E F Mewis who, as Mrs EF Coombes, was Chair of Holmfirth Urban District Council in the year 1973-74.

She was a Justice of the Peace and for many years was a great servant to the public of the Holme Valley. May she rest in peace.
