The Veg Box - adopted phonebox

At a cost of a big £1 to BT, we are delighted to say that the Parish Council has taken ownership of a new, red phonebox in Wooldale!

Since taking ownership, John, the Parish Council's handyman has overseen the sprucing up of the box and it really looks a picture.

Whilst other boxes the Parish Council own have been re-purposed as book exchanges and information kiosks, this one is a bit different and has been taken on by Wooldale Allotment Association as The Veg Box, - somewhere for allotment holders to share excess produce they have produced on their plots, and a seed and plant exchange. 

The Grand Opening of The Veg Box phonebox at Town End, Wooldale will be 2pm Saturday 4th June.  Come along!
