Latest Grants Awarded by the Parish Council w/c 10th October 2022
Holme Valley Parish Council this month approved 9 grant awards totalling over £27,000 to deserving local community groups.
These were:
- Holmfirth Tech - £10,000 towards an accessible kitchen
- Wooldale Community Association - £5,000 towards replacing two 30-year-old boilers
- Project Communities - £1,950 towards sports provision for girls
- Hepworth United AFC – a second award of £2,500 towards solar batteries
- Honley Youth – a second award of £2,387.50 towards training workshops for young people
- Holmfirth Arts Festival – a second award of £500 towards training for young music makers
- Holmbridge Cricket Club – a second award of £405 towards equipment for training and coaching junior cricketers
- Enabling Youth and Motocross CIC – a second award of £2,479.50 towards youth clubs
- Café 100 - a second award of £2,146 towards youth club wages and running costs

Earlier in the current Council year 2022-23, the Parish Council conferred grants on the following community groups:
Honley Silver Band - £5,000 to replace a rotting band room floor
Scholes Cricket Club - £5,000 towards women's dressing rooms
Wooldale Wanderers AFC - £4,911.35 towards women's toilets and upgraded kitchen facilities
Honley Players - £4,824 towards a new PA and stage sound system at Southgate Theatre
Hepworth Utd FC - £2,500 towards solar batteries to integrate with solar roof panels
Friends of Honley - £2,000 to Honley village centre improvements
Upperthong Village Hall - £2,000 to roof repairs
Hade Edge Band - £1,000 towards new band uniforms
Holmfirth Arts Festival - £1,000 towards outdoor events production costs
Honley Village Community Trust - £1,000 for wreath-making workshops for marginalised groups
Holme Valley District Scouts - £1,000 for training costs for x5 Explorer Scouts attending the 2023 World Jamboree in S Korea
Holmbridge Cricket Club - £575 for a new shower at the clubhouse
Holmfirth Forward - £500 towards a second print run of the Holmfirth business map
Holme Valley Patient Transport - £1,000 towards worker salaries of the Patient Transport project
Honley Business Association - £1,000 towards Christmas events
Holmfirth Christmas Team - £1,000 towards Christmas events
Honley Youth - £2,387.50 towards training workshops for young people
Holmfirth Arts Festival - £500 towards training for young music makers
